LDG’s own Laurence Glynne is taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 8th 2017, and he’s keen to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause.
This is the first marathon Laurence has run for four years, but in the past, he has taken part in an impressive total of three marathons and other races.
An annual fundraising initiative, the Royal Parks Half Marathon raises funds to support the eight royal parks in London. Charities and supporters of charities can take part, allowing them to raise funds through sponsorship.
It is a well-loved event, and the camaraderie and positive atmosphere is well-documented. It also draws a large number of runners and supporters.
Laurence said of his involvement: “I would be delighted to get the support of Alan Shearer for his amazing foundation, and promise I will run my old legs off for the charity and the Royal Parks. The children need all we can do for them. Please, please donate, and remember, the monies are going to genuine causes.”
